Thought I would post a pic of this one before it was finished. It's a nicholson File. Blade has a 3 1/2 inch cutting edge with a 1 3/8ths false edge. Hollow Ground and finished off using 600 grit. Handles will most likely be cocobola wood.AOL is 8 1/2 inches.

neat! I love file knives when the teeth are left on. Did you grind this out hard or anneal it?
 
I annealed it first. The pics are kind of crappy, it looks better than they show. It has been double quenched and tempered, the blade has been final ground with 600 grit I still need to do the final grind on the false edge and clean it up a bit, then buff it out.
I like file knives too, I have found that the Nicholson files will take a razor edge, and hold it well if done correctly. Sure that is old hat around here though with the wealth of info floating around.
