Maybe we should look at a knife Buck has made for some time (although, it's not in the 2001 catalog
);
the Goliath, Model # 446.
This knife as offered in the past, was pretty darn huge, 4.5" clip-point blade tip to pivot, 1.25" wide,1/8" thick, 5.25" handle, lockback with THICK handles.
Ok, so maybe make the blade out of BG-42, put some more beef in handle(liners?) and maybe offer choice of G-10 or polymer or wood, add a thumbstud, keep it a lockback and the whole thing in PCKS. So, what do you think?
This model and the Mentor are IMHO, two of the most underrated possibilities in the Buck line and it seems they're bith going away(sniff).
