I've seen reference to a falling out between Dan Inosanto and Remy Presas, but no details. Anyone know the cause?

Online digest. However, everyone involved in the discussion was to polite to really go into it. It came at the tail end of a discussion about a conflict between Guros Inosanto and Cabales, and everyone seemed to think it was the sort of thing that should not be discussed.

I'm not trying to stir up trouble, just curious.

So am I, curious that is.
Oh well, I better get back to training

Crafty Dog Marc Denny trained under Guro Dan Inosanto and the late PG Edgar Sulite.

Guro Ariel Moses (in Eastern Washington) trained under PG Edgar Sulite.

I've trained under Guro Moses in seminars and I train under PG Hufana in Modern Arnis.

PG Hufana trains directly with Professor Presas.

There. I've cured the rift. ;^)

I have trained under Prof Presas for many years. He has NEVER told me don't go study with Guro Dan nor EVER said anything negative about Guro Dan. When I see Guro Dan to train with him at seminars I have always extended the prof's hello to him...and always gotten a smile and a hello back.
I personally think its ( any conflict)in the minds of others rather than anything real.
People seem to want to find fueds...
All Filipino masters butt heads now and then in a martial arts way..Guro Dan and Prof Presas IMHO are above the usual tit for tat conflicts!
Ok..another vote on its all done!

kgrubb,

sort of like five degrees of kevin bacon :-)

casteel,

do not know. i'm sure they are both class acts and it's probably the students or students of students who percieved any rifts? case in point: burton richardson and dan inosanto.

Speaking of seminars, Guro Dan will be holding one on Wednesday, May 17 7pm-10pm at the Kali Academy at 14108 E. Lambert Rd, Whittier CA 90605 (Bud's place -- for those of you west coast folks). For info, call 562-698-6602 or email info@kalijkd.com (www.kalijkd.com). Hopefully, I'll be able to swap shifts with someone to free up that night...

But then again, if you ARE here in LA, you could also visit Guro Dan at his own place...
