Got some genuine crocodile back strips ordered. Can't wait to get these babies and build a sheath!!!!

I was trying to figure out what size Crocs (shoes) ya ordered LOL

Croc sheath!? Sounds awesome, IIRC thats what Dundee's sheath was! Would look bada** on a BK7!
 
Not sure exactly what I'm gonna do, but will post pics of whatever I end up with. And, if it's good enough, will prob do a GAW.

Im glad I reread and edited my reply before some of my ''friends'' did! LOL dropping the R in ''Croc sheath'' makes it sound very very bad!
 
Not sure right now. I haven't made one for a BK4 or 9 yet.........so prob one of those. Also, I have never worked with exotic leather, so will have to climb the learning curve on that.

A 9 sheath, with croc where the checkering is on the 2 sheath in your avatar.... would be all kinds of awesomeness.

Then I would need to find some croc teeth to use for decoration.

very tempting, I am hovering on the brink of Croc Lust.
 
I wonder if it's possible to have tommy makes some of his sexy scales for the 9, with a carved out recess..then fill it in with croc?


Why oh why did ya have to bring this up? Now Im in full bore geek-mode! Crocodile Dundee is one of my favorite movies, 1 & 2 anyways, the others got kinda dumb.
 
Makes for pretty stuff when finished but is a bit of a pain to work with because of its stiffness. I did a couple of lined sheaths with croc and stingray inserts for some local Busse's a while back. Almost impressed myself.
I haven't done an inlaid one for a Becker mostly because very few people want to pay that much for the sheath. I still have a hoard of lizard skins around here for some of my hawk sheaths at some point.
Can't wait to see what you come up with!
