It's been quite a while since I posted here, but I thought the Sebenzanistas might like to see the current incarnation of my large BG42 Seb.

Last time I showed it here (about 2.5 years ago), it looked like this after I made and installed ivory micarta onlay:

Recently I acquired a really nice custom carbon fiber non-lockside frame piece on another forum, and installed it on my Sebbie. I didn't weigh it before and after, but it sure feels nice and light now, and, imho, it's a nice look.

Thanks for the positive comments folks. I appreciate that.

gullwing, it does feel great in hand, but then so does every Sebbie I've ever had the pleasure of handling. This one is just lighter than standard issue.

HillBill, I cannot take credit for the fob. It is the very fine work of someone else. It is braided buckskin with a piece of deer antler.

Regards, :)

Ford, glad it is working out for you. I have got one on one of mine right now.

Thanks again Dan. :) Pardon my confusion, but do you make these or does someone else.
Best,

Ford, I don't make them, but Barry H does, and the quality is great. Gotta get one in strider green too.

Lookin' good Ford.
Mr.H.'s scale add a whole new dimension.....BUT I have to say that your ivory scale is stunning as well.
oh yeah...gotta love BG42 too!

Bill and Lycosa, thanks for the kind words.

Lycosa, I don't have any plans to make any more onlay pieces at this time, but maybe the maker of the carbon fiber frame piece could help you. :)

That is very nice Sir! I love the Carbon Fiber by BarryH. Your Micarta scale has always been one of my favorite Sebenza modifications.

Thanks Bryan. I should have hung on to this Mayo modded large BG42 Sebbie I got from you a few years ago...but we all know the drill...steel comes in...steel goes out. :)

Ford, I know what you mean. I have a modded Mayo large sebenza, I have been kicking myself for getting rid of a flat grind.

I should have kept the 3 May tuned Sebs that I have had over the years! I kick myself every time I see one! Oh well maybe another will come my way!
