I've been lurking in this forum for a while and have to say, it is the one I enjoy the most. Don't post, because I don't have much to say but certainly enjoy TRYING to figure out the CQC number system and the numbers on the blades that (sometimes?) go along with that. Plus the Emerson product "quality" discussions are excellent and also very informative about knives in general.
So after all that, I decided to get a CQC14SFS from Knifecenter. I went with the satin combo blade just cause I like them. Even with all the reading I've done here, except for how the knife'll look, I don't know what to expect. I have seen a few of those in a handmade model that go for about a grand more than the $160 I paid.
Anyway, just wanted all of you to know I appreciate the fun I have around here and that I'm looking forward to getting my "Snubby."

Sweet knife mate and SFS is my favourite combo.

Remember pictures please, we love pictures :)

Nice knife, i think you will be pleased with that buy  i went for the SF plane edge one my self.

I love the overal look and proportions of the CQC-14 as well and recently bought a black plaing-edge. Now a just need another one that I can carry and beat up!

In my opinion it's one a the nicest designed blades in the current line-up.

Well, I've had the knife for a day now and have to say I'm entirely pleased with it. One of the reasons I ordered it is I like the large (full) size handle and the smaller blade. Terrific production knife for the dough: solid lockup, great design, centered blade. Plus I get to have all the fun that goes along with the Emerson reputation while putting aside the worries about quality that some of the discussions here caused me. It has the number 0119 up near the thumb disc, so let me know what that means, if anything.
Won't post a picture for two reasons - one is most of you know what this production knife looks like. The second is, I'm just no darn good at pictures. Got to think about which may come next...and thanks for the responses.
