I like slipjoints, and Don Hanson makes some dandy slipjoints.

This one might be here by Friday....I don't really know the particulars...it's an order, but sometimes, you just let the man run with it.:)

Don took the pics, blame him, lol.
Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Thats very nice and obviously a classic. I'm curious as to what you specified for this order (if anything) that might be different from his norm. Im noticing pins on the handle and hidden pins or screws on bolster.

Congrats.

Stag and stainless....it's not a "regular" pattern for him, he beefed up another pattern for Forumite "Blues" and I asked for a similar knife.

STeven,

Congratulations on a super nice slipjoint. Don puts 110% into everything he does and this one is no exception. Sleek and elegant, a great modern interpretation of a classic knife. Good looking piece of stag as one would expect from him. It is always a pleasure to work with Don and I am sure this was no exception.

Enjoy, Jon

Delicious stag. Scrumptious. :D

Very appealing. A typical example of his traditional works, which are always masterful.

That's a dandy there, Steven. It's Bose BackPocket'ish ;)

Very nice. I like it without screws. The swell in the handle makes it look similar to a Remington. Great choice, great work.

I think Don's slipjoints are just fantastic - and this one is no exception. Nothing wrong with the pics either - I'd rather see these than nothing at all. Thanks for sharing them with us and congrats!

Don's the man, all right, and he's run with this one. He does beautiful "Hanson Interpretations" of traditional designs, but this shows how well he can do a straight-forward "Repro." Perfect stag, pins, and "Bomb" shield.

Great catch, STeven.

John

Bowies, fighters and slipjoints, Don does it all so wonderfully.
Congrats, STeven !
Love the stag and the bladeshape and agree with KH about his Bose BackPocket comment.

Thanks for posting this Steven. Sending photos is one way to get you to post pics ;)

This one came together well. Blade steel is W2, spring is W1, rest of the metal is SS.

Thanks folks!
