I just scored an 825 at the usual online place.
The tang stamp is Schrade Walden Stainless Steel. It is an 825, 2 bladed jack with threaded bolsters. Shield is stamped K-77...
The pictures weren't the best, but the blades look to be full, and in general it looks to be a nice knife. I couldn't tell for sure, but it looks in the picture to have bone scales. It had a low buy it now, so I didn't have time to waste asking the seller... Was this model available with bone scales ?

I figure either way, it doesn't matter, because I've been wanting an older Schrade 2 bladed jack to go with the 293 and 881 I recently picked up.

I don't have much knowledge about the K-77's, so I quickly came here and searched.

Am I correct that the 2 bladed 825's with threaded bolsters are less common than the 3 bladed versions without threaded bolsters?

Hopefully it will be here by the end of the week, and I'll post some pics of it.

Mike, I don't think they were available in bone, some of that delrin is hard to differentiate, especially in pics. I could be wrong though, there were a few bone knives that popped up back then. I believe the K-77's were a Norm Thompson special order.

For sure the Norm Thompson Outfitters knife. I do not believe there were any 825 Razor Blades with bone handles either Eric, though there are some with the threaded bolsters. The 825 came with bone handles in the early 50's and was nicknamed "The Westerner". Those had the spey blade down on the bottom.

Here is a K-77 alongside an 893 and a 93OT. And a Norm Thompson ad circa 1966 or 67. As you can see, it had the original PAT PENDING RAZOR BLADE etch. Mine is marked 825 on the pile side. The two bladed version of this pattern is kind of uncommon.

Thanks guys. I spent a little more time looking at the different pics of the 825's this morning.
It was so cheap, I didn't waste much time looking before I hit the buy button.

I did go back and look at the tang stamp. It is
Scharde
Walden
Stainless
n.y usa

and its stamped 825 on the pile side. The way the blades are set for the picture, I can't see if it has anything after the 825. The blades are so shadowed in the pic, I can't tell if the razor blade stencil is still there or not.

It looks exactly like the knife in the Norm Thompson add. I like the threaded bolsters, it adds a nice touch.

I'm anxious to get it and see how it looks in person. Either way though, it will see some pocket time so I'm not to worried
