Good morning:
After a good deal of research online and speaking with aficionados, I came across the Chris Reeve Sebenza Sea grass. I had been directed by those with more knowledge than I to watch the excellent shop tour (parts 1 and 2) on Blade HQ. I really appreciate that sort of behind the scenes info. Getting so much technical information directly from the head of the company himself is rare. I aim for perfection as best as I can in all I do, so watching Reeve walk the camera through an in-depth tour of his manufacturing process and his philosophy of thinking carefully about everything in life before doing was impressive.
After browsing through some authorized dealer sites, I hit the Seagrass and was unable to consider any other CR knife. I went with the large, given the fact that it's just that ounce and a half heavier and a bit longer. Sometimes small is better for discreet pocket carry, but I have large hands, so I really wanted to think ahead 20 years down the road and in doing so, went with the large Sebenza.
I'll post pictures once it arrives; I don't want to post other people's pix without their permission. The knife can be seen on various sites of authorized dealers.
I'll be happy to do an initial review once it arrives.
Best,
Chris
