hey guys,
Couldn't help wanting to share my excitement about my incoming Caly Jr.

My current favorite knife is the PM 2.

the Caly Jr is approx 3/4 " shorter handle and .25" shorter blade, and almost 50% lighter weight!

I've been looking or a slightly smaller version of a PM 2 for improved comfort of carry and for well... sheeple.

I'll chime in with my impressions after I get it. Seller claims brand new. yep, had to overpay, but not by that much.

You won't be disappointed.

Awesome photo, Dantzk! I have to start posting photos here.
I just received the Calypso Jr. Like, an hour ago. I already love it. here's some very fast first impressions. It is stupid, wicked sharp. It is Liiiiiiiiiight-weight in a good, good way. 1.9 oz!!! Crazy light. The FRN handle is cool. It's my first FRN and, at first, it feels maybe a bit on the cheap side. Just being honest. But after holding it, flicking the blade, etc. the FRN makes sense. It's part of the lightness, which to me, is part of the identity of this knife. I love it. The FRN feels solid and very grippy. It has integrity. The ZDP blade is strong and compact and as noted, shred-sharp. And it opens up like butter with a distinct, locking CLICK. Beautiful tactile feel. ZERO BLADE PLAY! In the pocket, it's barely there. NICE!! Comparing it to my current fave, the PM 2, it is less wide in the pocket, very nice. So when you reach in the pocket, you have almost nothing 'in the way' but you DO have a wonderfully strong medium-ish sized knife waiting for you. I'm thrilled. I love the PM 2 and the PM 2 made me love Spyderco. But I really wanted a slightly smaller, lighter 'little brother'. I'll do a side by side with pics soon, along with some other knives.

NICE choice! If you want a dependable, superlight, light use matter seperator, you chose very wisely. The calypso jr is what got me hooked on spydercos(still have my first one). Such a great slicing little machine. I get why you made the cheap remark, but I assure you, as long as you use it for whats its meant for its definitely in for the long haul

cpl of my older pics. Every version at the time of the pics.
