I'm a lucky guy. Been married to the same Gorgeous Wife for just shy of 25 years, and though she doesn't share my obsessions, she indulges them consistently.

So lately I've been layin' on the couch a lot with the laptop on the coffee table, turned at an angle so that my GW can see the screen, scrolling through all the pictures here and elsewhere, concentrating mostly on BK2's, polish jobs and handle mods. I drop subtle hints about what I'd like to do with my 9, and damn Honey, if I just had another BK2 to keep in the house, I could do this or that to it and use it without having to go out and get one out of the car. Finally the night before last she said, "Well why don't you just go ahead and get another one?"

BINGO! Great idea Honey! Glad YOU thought of it! :D

So I contacted Mr. TAGannon to see if he had any in stock, and lucky me, he did. Just got notified that it's on its way this morning. Should have it either Saturday or Monday by my estimation. Thought I'd take this opportunity to say also that Mr. Gannon has great prices and free shipping, and was very prompt in responding to my inquiry. Thanks Tom.

So I got one incoming. Pics forthcoming, mods forthcoming, heavy usage forthcoming. Stay tuned.

BK2 is one of my favs. So let me get this right.... After 25 years of being with the wife you have to wait for her approval for YOU to buy a 70$ knife?? Just sayin...

sound like you have a great wife and great communication between you both - I have had two and neither would have gotten that idea

LOL

Good on you for making it her idea. I did the same with mine for my BK2. She said "Honey, I really want this new Rock Band game, the one with the keyboard." I said "Sweetie, I really want this knife on my wish list here."

Two days later "I ordered you that knife. Can I go get my game?" "Why sure, I didn't know you were asking to go get it, I thought we were just telling eachother about stuff we wanted."

:D

Uh...It's my third BK2. I do what it takes to only have to keep up with ONE wife. "Approval" vs. making it her idea. Perhaps your ol' lady hasn't approved that reading comprehension class you've been needing? LOL

Gotta love it when a plan comes together. My wife just shakes her head when she sees what I browse on the web. Knives, guns, tents, canoes, the contents of others survival kits...

Congrats on the BK2!

I'm getting some good ideas from this thread! Maybe that 9 will be on its way sooner than I thought....

I hear you... Same status over here....

Good wife Blues, good wife. My wife is the same way with me. Very supportive.

Shoes & purses for her, guns & knives for me. It's a happy marriage for us. I just gotta make sure i dont trip on her shoes & purses while holding an unsheathed knife or loaded gun ! J/Kidding. :D

My wife has also been very supportive of my hobbies. However, with me being a full-time student and only working part-time hours, she has put me on restrictions for new knives. I just recently purchased a small belt axe from a maker in Michigan, and yesterday I picked up a blade from a maker here on the forums. So, now the Mrs. says that if I want more stuff, I gotta sell some stuff.

*Sigh* Only proceeds from sales can go toward new goodies.

"you bought another knife"
"yup"
"it's the knives or me"
"bye!"

knives are sensible people

and they like biscuits
