Just curious to know where the weight increase came from on the revised Medium Voyagers. The old ones were 1.6 oz, which I loved for wearing in light shorts. I went to buy a replacement, as I lost mine, and discovered the new versions are over 3oz.

Is this misprint? Or is there really nearly a doubling in the weight of the tiniest Voyager. And if so, where does it come from?

Love your brand!!

The previous versions of the Voyagers (pre-2011) didn't have liners and used pressed/glued together construction, which makes them lighter than the current versions.

Also, the pivots aren't adjustable on the older versions.

The current Voyagers have aluminum liners and screwed-together construction, which also makes them a little thicker than the previous models too.

The pivots are adjustable on the newer versions.

It is worth noting that while the weight may have doubled, the strength has far more than doubled, and the Voyagers are among the strongest folding knives on the market.

Cold Steel now makes a super lightweight EDC folder called the Code 4. They also make the lighter-still Kudu, as well as the Micro Recon 1s.

My general knife of choice around the house is the Cold Steel Roach Belly, which is super light and offers pretty great performance.

But isn't this like trying to pick fly s..t out of pepper guys? :D
Even my large Voyagers are light weights. Maybe it is body size ? or like parameters which influence these opinions. Pick up a Ka-Bar Mule (which I really like) then a large Voyager. This is not an argument with the O.P., Just a reality check.
