He makes cuts that I didn't think were possible. He even cuts an iron pipe at the end. Also cuts a moving airsoft pellet. Pretty wild!

Isao Machii-sensei, incredible tameshigiri cutter probably one of the best imho. Trained traditionally and actually teaches in Japan, however isn't well.... received by some sensei as far as I heard due to his public appearance in various shows.
The katana he's using are 0 bevel sharp also the blades I've seen him used are competition geometries versus traditional nihonto geometry.

There's a video of him cutting a bamboo from a very close distance. Bamboo is tough stuff.
See 1:30~

God those people at the end would go ape shit if they ever saw a cold steel video.....

Yeah because a 350 pound man sweating like a pig, hacking at meat is as impressive as the guy in the video chopping bb pellets shot at him. Yup I can see the crowd going absolutely ape shit over that.

Why would he not be well received by some of the sensei? Is it only because he's willing to show those skill to the public?

That was awesome. I don't care if the guy is using a lightsaber. That was some impressive stuff.

Pretty cool... but can he pop a balloon like a Cold Steel sword can? I guess this debunks their claim that a well-made sword will still fall apart if used to chop wood...

Also because the Japanese believe that everyday objects have their own spirit, and a piece of your soul goes into a sword as you use and care for it. I don't think a lot of the traditionalists would like the idea of hacking at iron rods for a television show with an object they respect so much. There was even a time when the general rule was you had to draw blood if you took out your sword, even if it was your own. Kind of a guideline to discourage frivolous brandishing of weapons unbecoming to a samurai.

Please look up "irony" in the dictionary. Apply to Benchmade92's comments. Rinse. Repeat.

In Australia the average Joe can replicate all those feats using a Syderco Ladybug.( Or maybe we're the biggest B.S artists.)

If you actually have any sort of reading comprehension you would see that he was inferring that the audience would go "ape shit" over anything.

This is incorrect. This "must draw blood" was solely reference to Muramasa's blades compared to Masamune's. Muramasas' katana's in folktales were blood hungry and HAD to draw blood while Masamune's were peaceful and did not cut needlessly (this peacefulness was favored by the widespread Buddhist movement I would say).

i believe he was in stan lees superhumans

Correct he indeed was cutting a BB. Astonishing feet considering the BB travels very fast, and is very small. This BB gun was shot by a human not some fixed gun with a calculated trajectory.

If you watch his other videos, you will see him knock over the freestanding mat on the 8th cut. Muahahahahaaha!
