Ok, so then I will be carrying condoms AND tampons in my kit... Hope my wife never sneaks a peak in my kit,

And don't try the one about coming across a bleeding person in the woods only to find out she wasn't injured. It's been tried. Has she ever seen the movie Deliverance? Weeeee...weeeee!

Yeah, I always like to have an excuse ready beforehand, so I'm not trying to make one up on the spot. I'm still trying to come up with a more believable one for the condoms in my car.

You can use the tampons as a firestarter, though. They work quite well
 
*LOL* :D I salute the ideas though. Survival is about creativity and if it works, why not?
