I've admired Andre Andersson's work from afar for quite a few years now. His mastery of so many aspects of the craft - from design aesthetics, to damascus and forging skill, to his carving, embellishment, and leather work - is evident in virtually every piece he makes. I don't own any of his knives yet, but hope to add his work to my collection before much longer.

And though his latest piece is probably a bit outside my budget right now, I still felt compelled to share the photos here after I received them in my email inbox yesterday. In my humble estimation, this is one of the most important works to enter the art knife world in quite some time.

Three years in the making, this is The Harrows of Vigrid

Amazing knives, sheath and display. Functional Art at it's best.
I wonder what's the price tag. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Kevin, I have an idea but you can ask him yourself...it is still for sale!!

And yes I think it is one of his best work to date.....Andre is a real talented maker and a nice guy on top of that.

Whats the meaning of 'Harrows' in this context?

Im sure Im missing something, as I dont see what an agricultural implement or a vintage bomber has to do with custom blade.....

Maybe its in the 'harrow' sense of 'disturbing keenly or painfully; distress the mind, feelings, etc?' I dunno.....
