I don't know what I want for a good user? Do I want a ASH or a SFNO? Can you help me with my troubled mind..

Unless you have a line on a SFNO already, the ASH is going to be MUCH easier to snag at a much more kind price. Very, very similar. If both are in front of me, I would pick the SFNO for all around usage.

If chopping duties in a pint size blade are required, the CGASH1 would excel over the CGSFNO due to the much greater spine width.

Best of luck!

a standard no frills ASH would cost you about $320 including shipping.....it also does not come with a sheath....you can order one from the busse site.....you will have to look for a SFNO in the exchange forum and will cost more than the ASH....

Get and ASH! It's available. You won't be disappointed. The price is right, at least now, while they are available from Busse. If you wait until they are off the product list, the price on the secondary market will likely escalate greatly just like the other older models.

You can always get a different model later, and who know what cool new models will be available in the future.

Get an ASH while its easy to get then worry about the SFNO later.

Good advice here... I am also looking forward the the SAR5. Should be another ganza coming up very soon... there will, undoubtedly, be some fine blades unveiled at that time.

Get the ASH1 LE. For some reason I like it much better than the mag-handled SFNO I once had.

I solved that problem. I've got multiples of each! Sometimes I feel like the Hog thick ASH1 is THE tool, some other times the quickness of the SFNO strikes my fancy.

Kinda like pistols, kids, and girl friends. You just gotta have choices:foot:

i remember that you said a FFBM was out of your price range from another thread....

if that is so, the ASH LE and SFNO would also be out of your range....

i guess through the process of elimination, the CGASH would be your choice...

That's what I needed, how they compare. I don't do much chopping. Just a good all around hiking, camping, hunting knife. Thanks

I don't remember saying that but you may have a better memory than me. I'm kinda old...:)

Thanks again, Kid

and if you want to get a busse, you want a battle mistress....get one of the "small" knives later....start big and work your way down....:)
