Good read, not taught in the schools, nowdays.

nearly all of this is taught in the (grammar-) schools over here (coming from the Glorious Revolution and French absolutism including the theories of Hobbes, Locke and Montesquieu the pupils learn about Rousseau, then the colonies in the New world, the war of independence,its causes and outcome. As we have English as the first foreign language here you can even translate and discuss the constituion and the Amendmends with the 8th-graders. A great document.

Where has the time gone?!

I remember our big celebration of the Marine Corps 200TH Birthday when I was in, and the 200TH 4TH of July celebration when I was in also. I didn't think I was that old yet!
