One of Little Bob's uncles gave him a "Cars" play tent, sleeping bag, and backpack set. And tonight we watched Indiana Jones, a good adventure movie for young boys - Army trucks, sand pits, man-eating ants, aliens, mummies, Soviet bad-guys, jungles, sword fights...
So, with Indiana Jones as inspiration, Little Bob decided tonight that he'd sleep in his tent instead of his crib (he's only two years old). There were some last minute logistical negotiations due to an alleged monster in the tent and a phantom boo-boo, but he never hinted that he would rather go upstairs to his crib. As a result of the negotiations the christmas tree lights are on; I'm sleeping downstairs on the floor, but not too close and not in the same room; and the tent door is open.
Wife acted like he grew up all at once and was headed out the door for college.
Me, I'm so proud that I had to boast and tell you all this story.
