Thanks John, your pictures are worth a thousand words and really help with my interest in the older khukuris. I'd love to see some of your examples from the late 19th century, say around 1880-1890 or so to see how the blade/hilt configurations evolved on into the 20th century.

john - i enjoy your picts very much! tq john.

btw, have you ever heard or collect khukuris made in burma? if i'm not mistaken there are nepalese origin community in burma - but personally i never heard of any khukuri from that area.

one other thing - looking at map - tibet is nepal's neighboring country - and i also never heard of any khukuri from tibet.

john, pakcik bill and fellow forumites - what do you say about it? any explaination?

Thanks Again John, I love being able to get your "Khukuris thru the Years" tours. I'm learning lots about one of my new favorite interests. "H" is talkin' to me. I've been downloading the photos you share with us, I'm getting a nice Khukuri photo reference folder in my computer. I'll look forward to your next entry.:D

John's dedication and willingness to share and help puts him into the good guy category -- even if he is rich.
