I'd rather not discuss a sword in the process of an acquisition. Upload photos to
www.tinypic.com or another host and use/copy the urls with img tags, then paste them in a post here.
There are plenty of unmarked originals and that alone one reason to question what you are referring to as an "indian wars cavalry sword" Sellers are not infallible and without any direct provenance to a maker or importer, often wrong in assuming just about anything as a description.
