I love the knife and the bottom half of the sheath. The top half looks out of theme to me. Maybe I dont know the history well enough of Chief Crazy Horse. Thanks for sharing this amazing piece.

that's a great looking knife.

Great looking package. It has a lot of really nice work on both the knife and sheath.

I absolutely love this knife and sheath.
You have recently developed an interest in period pieces.

I have a museum photo of Crazy Horse's belt knife somewhere. On
second thought that's Geronimo's I'm thinking of.

I love the knife and I love the sheath in halves. I love the top half and and I love the bottom half, but not together. It kinda looks like someone had half a Long and half a Shook and sewed them (very well) together.

Karen Shook does bowie sheaths in the style as this one is made, and I like the way they look, but I have yet to try one myself.

It's a unique Knife and sheath. Excellent craftsmanship. The accomplished work of both doesn't speak of Chief Crazy Horse of the Great Sioux Nation in form or matter...

Beautiful work all round. What is the material used to create a 'pommel' for the handle? [Edit: found answer by reading OP again].
