Just got back from the Indy 1500 gun and knife show. Went to the Busse booth about 11:00. No offense guys but the Busse booth sucks. You had less that 10 knives and the show is still going for another day and a half. Maybe they were all sold yesterday. I see pictures of all the knives at other shows and this show was such a dissapointment. You guys are only one state over. Do you want to borrow my car, so you can send a few knives over our way? Give us a break and send over a few knifes the next time. I did enjoy talking to the Busse rep, but that is all I got from Busse.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, we never get to see pics of the shows that Hammie (Mike) does, because the Gun show managment does not allow pictures to be taken inside the venue. And you're right, Mike's display does not compare to what Busse brings to Knob Creek or the Easton Trunk Show. People may not realize that Mike is at the mercy of what he gets sent. OTOH, it is good for Jerry to hear your complaint, so maybe they can ship more stuff next time.

I was there friday and today, talked to mike both days, and it would have been nice to see a few sar 6's or maybe a cabs to hold in my hands. Mike doesnt have any control over what he gets but I agree that it would be nice to have a good offering for the 1500.

Last time they had a really nice spread, gladius couple wakis custom shop stuff and a variety of choppers and midsized knives.

why not this time?

I just got back myself. Went Friday (I was one of the firsts who got there) and Saturday and over the course of those two days, I spent about 5 hours talking to Mike.

There was a larger selection on Friday, and it was fairly slow till about 4 knives sold within 10 minutes of each other.

And the convention centers are kind of camera nazis, but it's their building and thier right to make such rules.

The selection isn't bad, but you're not going to see one of a kind, snakeskin NMFBM with spacers and a nuclear top. The 1500 isn't a huge show for Busse, but at least they (Mike and sometimes Bob when he can make it) are there.

Mike, great talking to you, I'll see you in March

A friend of mine went (friday or saturday) in search of his first Busse. With the shortage of selection available on the table, he opted for a Swamp Rat M9. He was disappointed with the available choices, but was very happy with what he walked away with.

Mike usually has some good stuff at the Indy show and you can't beat the conversation.

Anymore, if you don't get to a show as soon as it opens, the selection can get slim pretty quickly.

When I attend a show, I'm always hopeful to bring home one or two special knives for my collection.

But lately, I find it hard to compete with the 2 or 3 guys in front of the line that are each buying 20 or 30 special Busses that day.

But hey, no regrets!!!!

Well Im so glad I did not go!
I live in Chicago an I was going to pack the family for the weekend
Just to see the busse booth with the intention of coming home
With some unusual pieces as a birthday gift to me.
My birthday was disappointing enough the way it went, no need for more!

You didn't miss a thing. The show was very crowded and there weren't that many deals. The rows are so narrow you can hardly walk. I did pick up a few BlindHorse knifes (they had plenty to go around). I stopped by a local gun shop (in Mooresville) on the way back and all the people who couldn't find any deals were buying guns from them. I saw several used guns, at the show, that I could buy cheaper in new condition from dealers. I don't think I will be going any more. I do better at the Ganzaas, dealers and forums, plus I save time, gas, and entry fees.
