Hello!

Right now I am about to purchase an inexpensive knife via Amazon, and the two choices are

Mora Craftline HighQ Allround Fixed Blade Knife Carbon Steel
Carbon Steel Blade Hardened to 59HRC
$13.95

&

Cold Steel Finn Bear Polypropylene Handle
Krupp 4116 Stainless steel
$14.03

I am not sure of the differences between the two steels, so that is why I ask you all which knife is the preferable one. I would lean towards the Mora knife because I am not sure if the Cold Steel is China-made or not.

Mora. I personally wouldn't use a Cold Steel if my life depended on it, though.

That said, Mora is way ahead, as I'm sure most will agree.

Thanks! I went ahead and ordered the Mora, I love Amazon Prime, free 2 day shipping! :)

You won't regret it. It may not be pretty, but it's a work horse. At -$20, you would be wasting your money if you paid for looks, you know?

Cheers!

Mora won't let you down. Not that CS is that bad, its just Mora is way better. When I looked FinnBear it looked like blade was hollow ground. Not good for puukko's. I Prefer my puukko's traditional way, like Mora does it.

The cold steel is going to last longer, the Moras are almost always first to show up in the broken knife threads. Just use it as a kitchen knife and you'll probablt be okay.
