Inexpensive folder with long blade

I'm looking for an inexpensive user folder with a blade close to 4 inches.I'm not picky about locks, and as long as the steel is decent, ala aus8, I'll be happy. I'm thinking either the rat1 or the byrd cara cara. I already have a spyderco tenacious (which I love), and I'd like to keep the price below $50, if possible, but definitely below $100.

On a random note,i noticed this morning that all my often carried knives have the balance point just behind my index finger when i hold them in a normal grip. If you can recommend a folder that meets this criteria too, well, you officially kick ass at recommending knives.

Hard to tell about the balancing point because everyone has different size hands.

Nothing wrong with the Byrd series, I own two (cara cara and meadowlark) and they are great bang for the buck knives. If $ is really tight, they are fine EDC types.

Rat1 is a great choice.

Other knives with bigger blades I like ..
Spyderco Endura, Stretch
Kabar Mule
Kershaw JYD2, Storm
Benchmade Grip

If your price range is 0-100, honestly, you have a lot of choices heh.

Don't forget Spyderco is supposed to be coming out with the "Resilience" sometime in the future. It's in the Tenacious family of knives and is supposed to be somewhere around a 4" blade IIRC.

Endura is a possibility, and I have a full size and mini grip already. to answer questions pre-emptively, there's no real reason I need this knife.I just want it...c'mon guys...this is bladeforums...you know what I mean.
Thanks for the great replies so far, I've got my fingers crossed for the resiliance.

I got a Ka-bar mule a while ago, and it hasn't disappointed. Found it for $42 (the Aus-8 steel with the zytel handle), 4 in blade exact. Depends on what you need it for, because the knife is huge and weighs nearly a half pound with full steel liners and a lock back. Durable as hell, I've used it as a chisel, wedge, and pry bar on various occasions, but definitely not an edc knife

The G-10 handled Byrd knives are great knives for less than $30. I have a Cara Cara that I bought from a local shop and it cuts great.

CRKT M21-04. AUS-8 steel, 4-inch blade, quite beefy, for around $60.

How about a Byrd Cara Cara in G-10.

2nd or 3rd it.
If you want big and cheap and good this is it!

The Kershaw JYD2 is also big and nice, but cost 2x as much. And it is made in the USA. It is worth the extra cost to me.

The CRKT McGinnis Summa has a long blade almost meeting the Spyderco Military. It is a very classy looking blade and stronger than it looks. The RAT-1 is good also.

The Endura was mentioned already, and now that it's available (temporarily?) for the same price in great full flat ground and a few colours - that's a very good choice.
But my fave is a bit more expensive, it's the Stretch 2 (the VG10 version): very ergonomic, blade is a bit shorter than Endura, but since it has more belly at the tip the total cutting length is quite similar.

more love for the RAT-1, the byrd does not even come close to it, you already have a spidey so go for the flat ground drop point rat-1.
I have been raving about them for awhile now but for the quality at under 30$ they are hard to beat. Locks up as solid as my emerson's.
