American made Colonial & Imperial shell handle knives. Good steel and hardy little devils for less than $20 and many times > $10.

TL-29 type electrician knives are plentiful and can be had with little effort for > $20.
American made Ulsters and some older Uticas often go for $10-$20.

Some specific recommendations are:

Made in USA Buck BLW Bantam ≤ $20

Moved from traditional because of content.
Nice lookin' knives!

Ontario Rat 1, Kershaw Cryo, Kershaw Cryo 2, Kershaw Injection, Kershaw Thermite, Spyderco Tenacious, Opinel, to name a few.

i just got a KERSHAW shuffle in wallyworld for less than 15 bucks.it needed a good sharpening but its a dandy backup/edc for little money.
may your blades never get rusty.

Also, the Ontario Rat 1 and Rat 2 folders are solid knives for the money.

There are alot of great Kershaw knives for the money and im not sure what u mean by cheap. But the Kershaw Thermite is a blade i think everyone should own for around 40$. I have hundreds of knives some all the way up to 500$, but the thermite in my mind ranks right up there with the top dollar blades

I always wanted to get a kershaw Oso sweet and never got one .

Do it. They're great little knives.

My recomendations:
Any Kershaw that floats your boat, the Oso Sweet and Clash are some of my favs
Scrade 30x series is good but heavy because they are so stout and beefy.
Spyerco Tenacious and the other knives derived from it
Just go my first Opinesl in today. Looking forward to playing with those
Mora. I like the Comanion myself and prefer it to the thicker Companion HD
Ontario Rat I is awesome. Rat II is good too but I think maybe they should have put a little more thought into it other than just scaling down the RAT I

For anyone in a city/blade length legality zone, I will swear by the Cold Steel Tuff Lite.

The rat 1. It's a hard working blade. Wears ugly. Bit heavy. Aus8 doesn't have the best reputation in my reading of the forum. Damn does it work hard though. Sharpens up nicely. Strong pivot. Tough. Great buy for the money.

For budget knives, I'd definitely say the Spyderco Tenacious and Kershaw Cryo are two of my favorites. Got both of mine for under 30 bucks on Ebay.

and yes, I've heard a lot of criticism of Aus8... but I have no issue with it. I think it holds up very well for everyday use, and anyone with basic sharpening knowledge can hone it up really nice in a matter of minutes. It's a very affordable and durable steel.

For anyone in a city/blade length legality zone, I will swear by the Cold Steel Tuff Lite.

Most definitely. The legal limit is 3.5" here, but it makes a good companion to my Gayle Bradley. Two rough and tumble knives that can take on anything a fixed blade can't.

Suggestions:
Enlan knives
Sanrenmu knives
Buck vantage
Buck 110
Kershaw chill
Cold steel voyager
Cold steel pocket bushman

All of those can be had for less than 30 bucks, with some deal hunting.

Buck Vantage Series
Kershaw- Leek, Scallion, Black Out, Blur, Needs Work and Junkyard Dog II are all very reasonable and all made in the USA.

As for Fixed Blades I don't think you can beat the value with the Becker Knives!
