would like some suggestions on some inexpensive knives that use some good steels
price under $50 pics please

Mora's stainless and high carbon steels are excellent. Nothing wrong with Buck's 420HC steel, either.

Kershaw Zing Tanto black blade uses Sandvik 14C28N. Its sub $40. Really nice blade I have one and love it. Kershawguy sells them.

Kershaw Skyline uses 14C28N

The Svord peasant knives (friction folders) are L6 steel, which is pretty darn good.

Opinel's carbon steel is great as well, well under that price.

Slightly more than your price limit - $70:
The Kershaw Speedform II is Elmax. Also at that price point is the Blur, which comes in S30V.

AG Russell's Featherlite is available in AUS8 or VG-10 for under fifty. The Hunters Scalpel is AUS10, for only twenty bucks. And his fixed blade knives like the Bird and Trout and Hunters Scalpel come in D2, AUS8, and ATS-34 all for under fifty bucks.

Most of the original Old Timer knives were made with 1095 carbon steel (awesome stuff), and you can easily pick up a new or lightly-used specimen for under $50, depending on the model.

Happy shopping.

I'm probably way off but when I read your title I instantly thought mule team. Some are just over 50 but I'm pretty sure you are asking about folders.

I have been pleased with this Gerber Profile, which feels better to me when modified as in the photo

also, this Russell Green River Sheep skinner has excellent 1095 steel, and works great

Spyderco Endura/Delica. It may be a little bit over $50, but FRN handles with VG10 steel. The Centofante 3 or 4 is around $45, I believe. VG10 as well.

thanks for the replies guys , i own a composite leek an endura vg 10 and a ka bar dozeir aus 8 , and love theses knives
the leek and endura were about 70 shipped to me
ive had the svord and opinel 8 and a douk douk on my list seeing how i could probably get all 3 for 60 shipped:D

was refering to folders but am open to fixed as well

Buck Vantage Pro is usually in the $50-60 range and uses s30v steel. Occasionally the Kershaw blur s30v version can be had in that price range as well. You can also pick up some spyderco knives such as the ladybug/manbug and I think a few others in zdp-189
