As I am a firearm and knife enthusiast, I have had a desire for a Kimber 1911 .45 for some time. Well, things fell into place today and I became a proud owner of a Kimber Eclipse Custom II 1911 .45. What a fantastic pistol! Now for some range time!

Wow, very nice, i have a Kimber Ultra Tacticle with carbon fiber grips, Kimber makes awsome 45's, great pics, have fun at the range with that baby!

My old custom classic is one of my favorites... Everyone who shoots it wants to buy it... :)

That Kimber does look pretty good...

I have been thinking about getting another 1911 lately, just can't find the right one :-(

I chose the Eclipse Custom II since both the frame and slide are stainless steel. Stainless steel is important to me since I live in a warm, humid, subtropic state.

Nice choice! I have the pro and love it. It's had no issues whatsoever. The Eclipse is one of the sexiest looking production 1911's out there IMHO. Enjoy it!

Speaking of 1911's and INFI, I recently sold a few Busse's and now have a Wilson Combat on order! I can't wait!

Very nice score I have been wanting the same pistol for some time...but like so many other pistols I own I want mine chambered for 10mm.

How do you like the Sig? I have a few of the "traditional" Sigs (220, 225, 226, X5) and love them, but so far have not tried out their GSRs.

Has it been reliable? Accurate?

Thanks

Nice Kimber! If I can ever get over buying Glocks, I might get a Kimber. Every time I my firearm fund hits $500, I get a new Glock!

Nice pictures guys.

Need money for INFI.

Yeah basically for me for me it comes down to either sell my HOGFSH and get a cheaper 1911 or keep the INFI. Keeping INFI seems less hustle.

This is a bad thread. I was just thinking, heck, if I sold my FBMLE and Ash1, I could go grab that Kimber that has been mocking me at the gun store.

I do, really, need a 1911.

As some one above mentioned, an Ed Brown would be high on my list if I ever had the scratch.

The Sig GSR has performed for me flawlessly. I shot my Glock 21 and the Sig GSR back to back using the same ammo out of the same box, same distance to the paper (30 feet). The G-21 shot 8" groups, the GSR shot groups of 3". I was shooting standing, no bench or other rest.

Thanks - My local shop has a GSR in stock, so I was wondering how they perform. I have been going back and forth between the Ed Brown Kobra and a S&W PC1911, but the GSR would mean some cash left over for a BOSS Jack

I try not to take my SIG classics and 1911s to the range at the same time any more. The grip feel, and especially the triggers, are so different that switching back and forth always messes up the first shot a little.
