Back in the days I had a dogfather in sr77. Didn’t like the edge holding so I sold it

I have to say that the overall shape and design of this knife rivalled even the ffbm which is my favorite knife

Many of you younger hogs and rats never had the opportunity to own this great design... it would be awesome if it was redone in INFI

I know I would buy two for sure... who wants the INFI dogfather?

Id be in, the Dogfather is a great blade.

Did you get in on the HOGB8? Its as close to an INFI DF as we've seen so far.

And we are due for a res-c offering and possibly of the sykcovariety next, who knows.

I always liked the looks of the Dog Father. This thread prompted me to look up the old specs:

Steel: SR-77 (57-59Rc)
Blade Thickness: .275" (Between 1/4" and 5/16")
Blade Length: 10"
Blade Width: 1.80" (Wider than 1 3/4")
Overall Length: 15"
Handle: Resiprene C

Sourced from the Scrapyard forum announcement thread here.

I'm not sure I'd need one since I already have an 1111, (and a bunch of other choppers,) but it might be hard to resist. Looking at pics one thing I might advocate for on a new version is a choil more like the Dog Soldier models.

Agreed, I just picked up the S O DF, & would love an
INFI DOGFATHER!

Releasing a Yard Classic in INFI is always a great idea!!! The HOGB8's gonna be close though, so it could meet your needs!!!

If an INFI DogFather and the matching INFI SOD were to be an offering - I would buy the set..
Whackers!

Revolverrodger Revolverrodger ... sr77 was the one Bussekin steel I didn't care for, either.

INFI would be an upgrade for any large INFI'less model.

I'd be in if they kept the Sabre and pointy drop point.

But to get me to bite, Dan, Jerry, etc. would have to nix the extreme thumb ramp and move the choil more rearward and lose the talon hole-less talon thing. In other words blend the choil to the handle like on the 1311. I'd be in like Flynn, then. :p

C'mon man!

I'm generally for trying to cheat that choil back, but those "Hound's Teeth" are the DF's distinguishing characteristics!!

I’d likely bite if offered in comp finish.

PS to OP, please post pics for threads like this!

Yup...I realize that...without those features it becomes more like a saber ground, drop point 1111.

But I never figured out what those bits were useful for.

The DogFather is a great knife, and I really like the name!.............................................:D
