Your newspaper did a complete storey on INFI and Busse:confused:

Or was it part it an article on knives, and covered other Brands also ?

Our newspaper never has anything cool in it....I may need to move to your town:p

Jah, the story is about INFI and Busse Knives. The article should be in Thursdays edition of the Milton Standard Journal, written by Conie Sheridan.
And I found out who MORIMOTOM is... he is a Fireman.
Ahhh, Jerry...Garth wants to speak with you. :D

THE PERFECT KNIFE — Rolf Helbig, of Mifflinburg, displays two INFI steel-bladed knives which he purchased from Busse Combat, a knife company out of Ohio. These blades are what Helbig considers “the perfect knives,” as they are extremely durable. INFI is a unique type of steel designed by Busse Combat and is only available through the Busse company. MIFFLINBURG — Rolf Helbig, of Mifflinburg, has been a knife enthusiast for many years, since he owned his first pocket knife as a child, but he’s never seen a knife like the one he recently found from Busse Combat.

“(It) has everything someone would want in a knife,” he explained.

Helbig enjoyed his pocket knife as a child and eventually lost interest. Later he began helping in the kitchen which eventually lead to a career as a chef. His love of knives began to grow and he soon learned the necessity of a sharp, yet durable blade both in and out of the kitchen. Recently, he found, what he describes as “the perfect knife.”

“I said to myself this has to be too good to be true,” he recalls.

Helbig is referring to the new INFI steel-bladed knives from Busse Combat, a knife company out of Ohio.

According BusseCombatStore.com, “INFI is a proprietary steel and heat-treat protocol developed by Busse Combat Knife Co. It is only available through Busse Combat.”

“This is probably the best steel on the market today,” said Helbig.

After hearing about this unique steel from a friend, Helbig began to do his own research, as he was still skeptical.

Helbig got onto a blade forum online and began speaking with other knife enthusiasts about the INFI steel. He found they all had the same opinion as his friend that this steel was something special.

Still, Helbig wasn’t sure if he wanted to spend the money to add one of these unique blades to his collection.

“It isn’t cheap,” he said.

After thinking about it for some time, Helbig decided to purchase his first INFI steel-bladed knife and quickly decided it was a good decision.

“This is it,” he said. “I’m done looking for the perfect knife.”

Helbig explains that because of the INFI steel, the blade doesn’t chip. It can become misaligned, however, during the sharpening process it is put back in place.

“It was introduced in 1999 at a blade show,” Helbig noted. “(The Busse representative) made over 2700 cuts into a 1” rope before it started to lose it’s edge.”

He added, “If they made a chef knife, it would end up in a lot of kitchens.”

Although he is not showing his find at this weekend’s knife show, Helbig is looking forward to speaking with other collectors and enthusiasts about the INFI steel blades.

“I go to the show every year,” he said. “I like to see what’s new and going on.”

Helbig will be among the many knife collectors and knife enthusiasts flocking to Lewisburg for the 21st annual Keystone Blade Association Knife Show.

Featuring new and old factory knives along with many custom pieces, the show will be held in the Baylor Room at the Best Western Country Cupboard Inn from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $3 for adults, children 12 and under are free with an adult.

Pretty decent article, but they make it seem as if INFI was only just introduced.

Decent article indeed, but they also got the wrong links to Busse ;)
Cool though!

Edit: well I was only partly right, one of the links works, and points to the company store

Thanks Suicy! I wish reporter's would let one proof-read the article before it is printed. Not a bad article, though.
Jerry---Kick-backs?? :D
