I read something in Whine and Cheese that got under my skin. It was said that in our consumer world, we can be sold to believe anything, from religion to infi-nisitesimals. Well, INFI is Real and it works really well. I just had to vent.

That quote was in "Current Events" under Intelligent Design. Not W&C. Sorry.

There is a surplus of ignorant people out there so I just disregard statements coming from those types.
I say Fu#k them and their opinion. Thats all..

Thanks Uncle Jarvis! I knew better and should not have even made a post. Next time---I'll rise above it.

why? the whole reason we have the internet is to bitch about stuff. :D

LOL! That was me! It was meant 'tongue in cheek'
As in, if someday someone came up with a steel that they could call 'GOD'. Then they could market it as the ultimate unbeatable knife steel. It was just to illustrate what marketing hype is. I mean, any reason INFINI is called that? Do the characters I.N.F.N.I actually mean something? Infinitely tough? There's no such thing. It was a 'double entendre' you get it right? Infini(tly) gullible people want Nirvana in a hunk of steel, or soap, or electronics or cars or guns or toys or food. Everywhere that Nirvana does not exist. Sorry to burst any bubbles fellas. No harm intended really.
I like soft steel ;)

It's all good !

Busse does have unorthodox marketing techniques.
some examples include the whole HOG thing, and ganzaaas...
Random jargons: ie oink, snort, trough, kool aid...
A lot if this stuff pulls in folks to the Busse experience.
Jerry is a genius and knows what he is doing. He helped create a whole community that revolves around top notch knives. Either way it equals more $ for him. I am satisfied with this product and have been spending a lot of my income on this stuff. I'm not a product of successful marketing tactics. I just love the product and the sheer quality keeps me coming back for more.

I thought it was all hype and that the avid supporters were just trying to rationalize spending so much of their income on knives.

But after studying Nozh's edge retention test results, and seeing how INFI totally smoked S7 in Noss4's destruction test I was convinced its worth a try.

Now I've got one more vice on my list.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I have used countless of other knife steels over the years and still prefer INFI over all others most of the time.

mistake #1: looking in current events/political....

think of those forums like a train wreck. you really want to look, but when you do you regret it the rest of the day.

Man is that ever true.

They say that listening to music like Bach and Mozart helps reform your brain to more be efficient… as productive as those composer were they would have had to live 3,000 years to make up for the brain damage in BF’s political forum.

i suspect that the majority of political posters came to bfc after googling a topic and ending up here.

only a handful seem to post anywhere else, and rarely in any of the actual knife forums.

not coincidentally, nearly everyone on my paynomind list is a political junkie.

Relax,

Have another sip of the Kool-aid and fondle a knife or two, maybe even use it for what it was made to do, Cut some thing.

By the way, there are plenty of knives out there that will not perform as well that cost more $$.

Plenty of collector knives that only get used to have some thing to rub with a soft cloth and oooh and aaaw over, it's "ok"

I remember drinking the drink and watching the vid then throwing the knife hundreds of times with out hurting it.(I also chopped things you are not supposed to chop with a knife)

I also hammered it into a tree and let my 14 year old Son do pullups holding the handle (after making sure it was really stuck well into the tree)

And now there are hundreds of people that would be glad to give me $1,000.00 to $1,700.00 for that old used One of Three Hundred, Staight Handled Battle Mistress that I over paid for at the time and spent $500.00 to get with a left handed High Desert Lowride sheath.(Edited to add, Knife is not for Sale)

Have some more Kool-Aid and come on in the Waters fine.
