Infi Kukri

Hmm interesting knife it would be, how about a bolo style BM. That way you could mod an already existing blade that everyone knows is good.

I'm in for an INFI Ghuki?

Ever since my Grandfather showed me his two Gurkha knives that he brought back from WWII, I have been a fan of the knife, and or course the Gurkha soldiers.

This is his story:
While on the Burma Road he came across some Gurkha soldiers. He asked one of the Gurkhas to see his knife. The Gurkha said no. While the soldier was distracted my Grandfather drew the knife out of the sheath. He held it and admired for a while. My grandfather attempted to sheath the knife and the Gurkha solder cover the sheath and said the knife had to draw blood before it could go in the sheath. My grandfather then offered two cartons of cigarettes for the knife and the Gurkha soldier accepted. And that is how my Grandfather ended up with one one the awesome blades.

Kuhkuris are great tools and I want one as well. In it's place however, HI makes really good ones.

It's a topic that has come up with some regularity. I'm sure Jerry's paying attention.

Expect a Khuk to come down the line in about 2012.

until then, why not one of these?

what do you think of it Jos?

I want one but swore I'd never pay that much for a knife...........again ;)

BRING IT

It will keep me from spening money on INFI for a few months :p

There are a lot of "tools" out there. For me a Kuhkuris is just another one I don't want around. :p
.

Can't be done economically b/c of blade shape and size on INFI blanks. It'd be cool, tho.

Aren't they cut from sheets?

A kukri would be neat, but there already is the battle mistress... which is a pretty good chopper i hear.

Haven't used it. But it feels good in the hand:thumbup:. It's the KH version (they come in tree versions). If I'm going to use it, I'll add a lanyard.

From the ER website:

The KS is more compact and versatile, ideal for individual equipment.
The two longer knives are more suitable for team equipment or for completing the survival kitbag in aircraft, the KL for the jungle and for swamp vegetation, the KH for forests and more resistant vegetation. Real cutting machines.
