Does INFI need a light coat of oil to protect the blade from rust or if the blade will be in storage. It stinks to check on a knife and then find rust on it. Thanks OINKERS.

Well, oil can't hurt INFI but I usually just give a wipe down with a Sentry Tuff-Cloth.

For storage I would recommend Ren Wax. That stuff seals off the pores on metal really well to keep out moisture. I like the Sentry Solution Tuff Cloth or Marine Tuff Cloth for a quick wipe down. Birchwood Casey also has something very similar but I can't remember the exact name for it.

If you are into guns then either Eezox or Breakfree will do a really good job as a rust preventive. Do not use Miltec oil as a rust preventive. It is not that great in that capacity.

BTW, INFI is highly corrosion resistant so a quick wipe down to keep it dry is really all that is required during use.

The only infi that I had slight rust is anything Double_Cut.
It appeared to have small speckles of rust on the spine while in storage, non user.
I recommend the ren wax like what Ban suggested....

Some kind of protective agent is usually good.

I just use mineral oil for all my knives. Haven't had problems so far.

Thanks-Oinkers! I'm try'n to score Badger Attack. Maybe I should't be so pickie with that first Busse. I went from GW fever to BA fever! And I don't even own one yet. OUT.
