88B4CD05-F823-457A-99FA-34E5015B0C45.jpeg A few years back I purchased a Swamprat Ratmandu. I liked the knife but other than general knife maintenance, it was lost in the back of a safe. Recently, I located the Ratmandu, reprofiled it to 20 dps and took it on a couple short hikes. I was amazed at how well rounded of a belt knife it was. It cuts efficiently, yet is tough as nails. The Ratmandu is like a middle weight boxer with heavyweight power. Ergonomics, like on all Busse blades is just so good. My middle age hands will fatigue quickly if ergos are not perfect and while the Ratmandu’s handle feels small in hand, in actual use, it’s comfort is unsurpassed for me.

Two weeks later, I found the perfect belt knife. The Infi version! It has all of the attributes that make the Ratmandu one of my favorites but is satin, Infi, convexed and surprisingly thin behind the edge. This new blade has not hit the trail with me yet but soon wil. Another one may be in my future. One user/one safe queen. I just wanted to quickly share how great of a knife this is and how happy I am with it. Between this and the CS Flak Jack, this may be the greatest knife week of my life.

Ps-I hope it’s ok that I created this post in the main Busse Page. It feels like a family collaboration between Busse/The Swamp.

Congrats on the infidu score !!!!

Absolutely one of my favorite Busse/Kin blades !!!!!
With the new generation comp finish released I’d hope for a infidu come back :-)
Infidu with fuller in Comp finish :-) or full flat grind comp finish infidu :-)
Put me down for six or so :-) lol

Every time I want to sell an INFIDU, I don't, just because, it is an INFIDU and one of my first designs....I have almost tried to sell one so many times, and I never list!!!

Kind of like my NMSFNOs...just can't sell those babies for some reason!

Eww....just no.
They ruined an infidu with a fuller once; and, personally, I hope the same mistake isn't made again.
No love for the swatmandu I take it ???? :-) lol
Always thought the fuller added a bit to it , but i guess it all comes down to personal taste :-)
I could go with or without ,, Just Bring Back Infidu !! :-) :-) please

Back when these were flying off the forum, and my money was flying to it like crazy, for some reason I never picked up the SWAT...guess it was just not that appealing to me given my love for the regular...it is a great looking knife and wonder how it feels with fuller, just don't have enough desire to spend the money to find out....hard to beat the regular...

every time I see the SR101 versions I want to buy a Rat, and I just don't because I got the INFI first. Those rats are such beautiful knives with all the color combos.

I do own 2 SoS's and those are way, way cool and comfortable. I am going to hand smooth one these days per Jaxx's post awhile back...maybe today - need to do something with my hands...maybe sharpen some knives on the flat stones, maybe do some hand smoothing!!!

Besides the fuller and talon hole, I dont believe there’s much difference between swatmandu & Infidu. I have both and the swatmandu feels lighter, but not a lot. Possibly a little better balance on the swat, but it’s close. I tend to always lean Infidu for the satin finish. I’m not a huge fan of double cut, although I bought a few during op2wks lol
The SOS is a great knife :-) I’d love to see a full flat grind version , make it a little slicy :-)

Well said, I'm with you all the way. It truly is an amazing blade. I own 2 INFI and at lest 2 Sr101 and love them all. I've thrown them, chopped with them, smashed seashells and rocks with them using the spine. The one infi RMD I received from the factory was a little thinner behind the edge and I was a little worried about it at first but after using it (very hard in the field) I found it to be just as tough as the others with the the sliceability of a ninja :).

Awesome knife, thanks for posting. Here's the one I'll never let go of :)

infidu/swatmandu is by far the best looking medium size Busse of all time. Wish it come with thinner edge tho...

love mine - she's made me bleed many times. I agree on the handle, a little thin for my liking but great little knife.

One of my 3 biggest misses. I should have gotten an INFIDU in that Ganzaa. There must have been an Active Duty offered too that I got instead. When in doubt buy both! (I also slept on the CABS and the SARsquatch with black linen micarta.)
