And is it me or is the handle on the Dog soldier bigger than the DS8?

I can't believe I missed out on the Infi ratweiler.... congrats on the great score. I have both Dog Soldiers but no INFI RATWEILER :(.
 
I have a skinny ratweiler, but I'm kicking myself for passing on the INFI version.

Yeah I'm right there with you, I've just never warmed up to the resiprene handle. But that is just me, but they do look great
 
Just opened my DS8. This is my first basic/resiprene handle, it's pretty dang comfortable (can't wait to get my HOGBB8!!). The knife is nicely balanced. And oh how sharp the blade is.....thanks Dave.

Hmmmm. Scrap Yard logo on the cardboard sheath. I hope the Yard ends up selling this one in SR101 once everything goes back to "normal".
 
Man, I hope I get the shipping notice on my INFI Ratweiler soon. I'm going to have to shut down shipping on my purchases in a couple of weeks, when I go on detachment. Might be Feb. or Mar. of 2018 before I get any other blades in.

Cant hurt to let the shop know, and could make a difference.
 
Yeah, I could I guess. I just don't want to request any special effort on their part. They work hard, I believe, and to try to get them to rearrange anything.... I mean, it isn't like I don't have enough knives to keep me covered. Heck, I've been trying to figure out what large blade to take with me. The small blade will be a SWATmandu, of course.
 
Yeah, I thought the handles were different sizes in a picture I took too, but someone pointed out that if you stand them on end, everything lines up right. It's all perspective and maybe some optics too.

Part of what I like about Res-c is that I don't have to warm it up in the winter to keep it from freezing my hands.

I prefer micarta/g10 handles when working in ideal conditions, but Res-c is superior in sloppy conditions.

Harder to make sheaths for res-c handled knives though.
 
Is the lanyard rivet supposed to be pressed in that far on the DS8, is that normal?...Its not like the DS, thats why I'm curious
