Infi rust resistance

Looks like INFI could take a nice golden patina after a while.

Got any pictures of your finished mod?

That golden color you see is probably from the cutoff wheel he used to modify the blade (that portion got hot). And the satin portion of the piece didn't rust as quickly because the higher polish reduces the effective surface area for moisture to become trapped.

It's nice to actually see examples of INFI's resistance to rust :).

That is pretty cool to see

thanks for the experiment

impressive and good to know, thanks!

please, post the final state of the knife, I beg ya...:o:)

(...my fav. mod, ever)

Cool, thanks for sharing.

The knife you made in that pic is awesome (I believe it is the custom you showed us a while ago......great work)

Cool test on Infi, but this knife is just a beauty.

I left my stripped BWM stuck in a tree overnight while camping and woke up the next morning to heavy fog. Not a single spot of rust but the tip stuck in the tree developed a light bluish patina. I like INFI.

Very interesting. Thanks for posting this. Your project turned out great by the way.
