I need some sharpening advice. I picked up a very well used Busse Combat BA-E it is INFI and has a really funny blade geometry as of right now. One angle is 22.5 degrees and the other is 30 degrees (noninclusive). I have virtually no experience with INFI and am new to asymmetrical edges any ideas how I can fix this?

If you really want to make the angles on each side even, you will need a jig to reprofile.
If you are good at free handing just even the bevels.

The idea of that edge is to run the shorter side on a ceramic rod like you would a strop. And then strop the other side. I know they don't use it any more, but I like the asymmetrical edge. Most of my Busse knives have that edge. It's actually really easy to maintain once you get the hang of it. And in theory you can keep it sharp without removing a lot of metal by using the previously mentioned technique. It's worked for me for many years.

Really?

I always thought it was just a little off from the grinding. Learn something new everyday huh
