Greetings.
I recently bought a c.s. boar spear and plan on putting it to use later this year hunting with dogs. It was the only manufacture i could find and i sent it to sig guy to work his convexing magic on.

I have been loving my 1/300 for 10 yrs. now and it occured to me that the strength and hardness of infi would probably make it perfect for spearing toothy critters and that I would pretty much kill to have a spearhead made out of infi.

I have lurked here for quite a while but have never seen a picture or reference to one. Funds wont allow for a custom right now but do you think they could do this? Better still if someone has had one made, how about a pic?
Thanks,
Joshua

I think this was a special for one of the shop guys...

there is just something not right about that video.maybe its the goggles.they scared me.

if you had the $$$ i'm sure the custom shop could do whatever you needed, money talks.

as far as busse combat ever really making spear heads i doubt it.they would if they thought they would sell but a spear head is a pretty specialized piece that i dont think many would buy overall.

with that said,if i needed a spearhead i would want it made from INFI.hell,i want everything from my car to my house made of INFI.i'd even pack it up and smoke it if i could.

That pic of the spear is awesome, I dont do any spear hunting but I would love to have one!!

LOL@that Youtube. Dang that's funny. That dude needs some help. Maybe to get out more or something. Perhaps rebreathing CO due to the mask. LOL

Spear = SJTAC. Send it to Ban or someone, have it double-edged. Fashion a proper instrument to set it into and you've got a good spear-head. The symetrical TAC handle is better than a ASH1 or SFNO type handle for attaching to a peesa-wood.

I had forgotten that CS one. I haven't seen that pic in a couple of years.

I watched that vid, that guy looks like a freak. i was ready for him to start yammering in aribic and try to saw someones head off. I'm not sure what he was trying to prove. Anyway, thanks for the replys. When i get the cash I will likely contact them about making one. I am no spear expert but holding a 14.5 inch blade (thats just the sharp part sort of like a smatchet on steriods) on the end of a 6' shaft impressed me with the kind of damage it could do. Mine also would make an impressive dagger/short sword without the shaft. If i can make it happen this year there will be pics.
Thanks,
joshua

That dude in the video, while he may be a little over active, is just enthusiastic guy with a Busse. He has a bunch of those videos posted over at the knife test dot com forum as part of a test or something. But yes, that one in particular is rather funny.

P-easy, was that you???? It looked like it could be Pennsylvania landscape, lol.
Regardless its all good. I remember the excitement when the big brown truck showed up with my special delivery. I was thrilled and ran around chopping stuff for about 15 min. until i cut myself pretty good and then i was no longer thrilled, just really happy.
cheers,
josh
