OMG! I raise my glass to two here who are worthy of HOGDOM! First of all, I made a trade for a Sig GSR for some INFI and cousin. The Sig GSR is a 1911 chambered for .45 auto. I have been eyeing 1911s for a while. This one ROCKS! The GSR beat the daylights out of my Glock 21 in accuracy. Then the Busse Tigherhide, 1911 grips came along. WOW. What a fantastic combination! The Busse Tigerhide grips are fuller than the factory Sig grips and they offer better control.

Traded your cousin for the Sig. Can I get in on that deal? I got a few in-laws lying around here..... :D

Definitely a nice combo!

I'll trade cousins for knives too if anyone is interested.

Damn it I forgot to ask about the dog:D

Looks great brother...happy she is running like a champion for you!

Them Busse slabs really compliment well.....Think I need to purchase a set for my Operator:thumbup:

Looks great.

Nice looking 1911. It's cool that the basic design is nearly 100 years old and yet companies are still finding creative ways to make it their own. That definitely looks like what you'd expect for a Sig 1911.

Did you oil those grips or something? They're way darker than the tigerhide on my HG55.

Very nice looking setup.
Does that GSR have an external extractor?
Love the tiger hide.

Nice set up! I haven't always been a fan of the HG55, but yours is gorgeous... I'd be proud to beat the crap out of that knife. ;)

How is the reliability of the Sig 1911?

John Browning with his ingenious designs was way ahead of his time. His 1911 .45 is a tribute to that. In function and ergonomics with the natural pointing of the 1911. The fact that many manufacturers have followed suite in his design of nearly a century is a tribute to his ingenuity is unquestionable.

As per the grips, I soaked them with mineral oil for about 30 - 45 minutes before patting dry. The colors of the Tigerhide really POPPED!

Thanks for the compliments.

I put nearly 150 rounds of Seller and Bellot, 230 grain though the Sig GSR without a single problem. Accuracy was 3" at 30 feet, standing with no support.

I have not cycled any other ammo though her though. But IMO I think the Sig GSR is a very nice 1911. On another note, I have some problems with my G21 locking open with a mag in battery. The slide stop is engaging even though rounds are still in the mag. I changed the slide lock and it still sticks occasionally with about half a mag of ammo. It maybe a mag problem.

Anyways, to the Sig GSR.
