I recently received my first busse, and I love it. On my boss street terror monkey the edge grind is somewhere in the realm of 50 degrees inclusive or a degree more or so. I made mine into a convex edge which seems to work very well.

I was wondering if I brought the edge to 40 degrees inclusive would I have any problems? I don't think I'll do it, just wondering.
Thanks

100% -- you will have no problem. 40 degrees inclusive works great as a beater and you can strop it back to shaving sharp with relative ease. Congratulations -- welcome to the madness!

No worries at all. I have my HHFSH at about 40 degrees inclusive. After a full weekend's chopping firewood it would still shave arm hairs.

The only time I've had an issue was when I tried (accidentally) to hammer it repeatedly through a rock. Even then I was surprised at how little damage it took.

Oh yeh, it's been batoned, sharpened, and used. Now maybe I'll put a 40 degree inclusive edge on it.

Many thanks
