I just saw a pic of Morimotoms AK-47? I think that's correct. That thing is Gorgeous! Couple questions: Can you get a 26" blade? How much is the blade? And is this like Jerry's Samurai sword in INFI? I WANT ONE! Talk about a Lopper! Thanks.

AK 47 is correct.
Here are the original specs from the website when I bought mine.
BLADE STEEL INFI
BLADE 18.5 INCHES
OVERALL 29 INCHES
HARDNESS 58-60 Rc
THICKNESS 3/16ths

They are currently only available on the secondary market though.

A Ruck Kensei is also nice..

I think there might be an INFI sword in there too....

Lycosa, the AK-47 sold for $587 + shipping, so say $600, on the Busse Company Store site. They are sold reasonably often here on the Exchange or eBay, at somewhat higher prices. The resale price is not likely to go down, so keep your eyes open, and be ready to buy.

Uncle Jarvis, just to avoid confusion, the proper name for that item is the Ruck Kensei, or Ruck for short.

Just sold mine.....sniff sniff :o , no regrets though... oh no, none here:grumpy:....I'm perfectly ok with having sold my beautiful AK-47!:(

Jos,
That urban/aluminum AK looks amazing,
I want to send in my PD to Busse and get it redone in urban/aluminum
Such an awesome combination:thumbup:

Since they are different in length, and the handles are different; IMHO, no, it is not a variant.

i agree. not a variant, but a knife unto itself.

shorter blade, shorter/thinner handle, no bevels, no skull crusher.

THANKS for the pics everyone. I'll be dream'n about them-there blades tonight! Gotta save money- gotta save money. Those are awesome INFI blades!
