INFI 1 Bullet 0!

I must have put a round in this semi dead tree I cut down the other day, I found this when I was splitting it with my TGLB. It didnt dent the edge at all even after looking at it with a flashlight back at the house. The blade has a nice streak of lead and copper on one side, I guess its a badge of honor since it wont come off with my usual soap and water cleaning. Heres the crappy pic!

This wood wasn't super easy to split as you had to keep whacking until you got through it, some just pop off but other than that I didn't notice anything special.

Not a special feat but I'm glad it wasn't a nail!

Great pic... awesome experience.

I was batoning through some really tough oak with my FBM Le at a camp fire in the dark when, after splitting the log, I noticed there was a nail in it . I almost had a panic attack. I got a flashlight and started to inspect for damage and noticed it only had a scratch along the satin finish. Wow, was I relieved to see that the edge was fine with NO damage what so ever.

Busse ROCK ON!

Cool picture!

Just keep in mind that bullet lead is usually 8-20 BHN (Brinell hardness), which if you converted 58 Rockwell C to BHN it's just about six hundred BHN. So even a very hard cast bullet is 30x softer then a steel knife :).

This is a great thread! Guns, knives, bullets.. throw in some whiskey and its an excellent friday night!

That is awesome, bullet doesn't look like it put up much of a fight against the TGLB.

Nice pics mate!!

But Don't worry infi eats nails ;)

This is some 40 year old Aussie hardwood from a house frame and man it takes some hard batoning to split,
Took 4 or 5 hits as good as I've got to get past the nail and barely rolled the edge
