After seeing NOSS-HOG do this in his tests I was thinking that that might actually be a task I would need to perform in an emergency type situation in my urban environment. So I decided to test the FFBM and ASH-1!

FFBM WOOD DIGGIN'

ASH-1 WOOD DIGGIN'

The ASH-1's tip is more pointy so it dug a little better but when the FFBM sunk its teeth in, LOOK OUT! This was the first time for me doing this test so I was not in a hurry, it was a little difficult keeping the board still, and need to work on my technique. But both did pretty darn good IMHO!:thumbup:

Good Job HAM SOLO. The slimmer sharper tips are faster at this task.

Thanks for the videos.

Nice! I like to drill rather than dig. More accurate, safer, and hurts the hand much less. And not too slow either. :)

Wow, Tyrkon! I'm really impressed with the ASH1's performance in this test. Thanks for the videos! :)

It Did Not Even Break!!!???:eek::eek:

hahahaha! Great videos man. My fat-ASH is still on order, but the FFBM is rapidly becoming my favorite knife. I just finished chopping a bunch of dry mesquite wood for grilling tonight... and mind didn't break either. ;) In fact, it still shaves.

Great vids.

That ASH-1 was looking good, I may have to break down.:o

Thanks for sharing.

well looks like im going to be Buried with my Pumpkin ASH-1 (just in case if you know what i mean) coffin chopper

I have never had a knife grow on me so fast. :D We all have our "thing" for certain knives. The ASH 1 is definately my thing. Or at least one of them. ;)

BM did pretty much as I thought it would but the ASH 1 surprised me. Have seen a lot of posts saying how good a knife it is but here is the video that proves it for me. You might just have tipped me over the edge into buying one. Nice job on the videos.

Yer gonna damage those tips. ROTFL!!!!!

And no fair - you used your hand to help with the ASH1. ;)

Nice pix. Good to see the OD finish hold up well.

Awesome Bro! The only suggestion I have is to use something besides wind chimes for the soundtrack.:D

Great vids!

What a way to emphasize the durability of INFI. The tips remained intact after all that beating any prying.
