Hi. That's really nice finish. How did you manage to polish the surface so close to the handle?

That's Sweet Ban, dang it i got cut again. Happens everytime i look at your sharpened up knives. :D

Nice work! & BTW, I really like that satinized old school lean mean street I got from you!

Dang it, Ban! Quit teasing us with knives we can never have. Check that--even just getting to see that kind of work is a treat.

I keep hoping these Banned Busse threads are a run-up to your announcement that you've decided to accept Busse's again for Banification. :D

Wouldn't you just drill out the tube and pull the res-c off?

Yep, pretty much. Except they don't exactly easily pull off. You gotta drill out the rivet very carefully with a new sharp bit. The rivet will spin if you go too fast or use a dull bit. The softer Res-C does not give the rivet much to hold onto unlike micarta, g-10, etc.... Once the rivet is out.... I clamp the knife down hard on a vise with the tip up and handles point at the floor. Then use a long block of wood (preferably longer than the knife itself) and hammer/mallet to slowly tap the handles out. It will take a few good whacks in the beginning to get it lose. It gets much easier once you get the handle to start moving. The clamping of the vise will obviously eat up the original finish of the knife. Well at least the way I do it ;)

Oh, no....I wish I still had a cooter to send ya:thumbup::D
