Just wondering if any Infidel owners have experienced malfunctions with their knife. It seems like a very complex action and, given the nature of OTF, I'm anxious about how much direct force the blade can take.

You'll break the blade before you can break the sears.

My experience is that pocket lint will defeat the knife mechanism before anything breaks from applied force. Had to disassemble and clean mine every 3 months or so while EDC'ing it. The double-edged blade wasn't very practical, either.

Thanks.

I know it's not practical. I just live in a very dangerous city (Baton Rouge) and get tired of CCW'ing a 5 inch .45 XD.

Plus it would be nice to get one before the liberals outlaw it.

Baton Rouge a very dangerous city? Hmm ok

I'm just south of you. It's already illegal to own or carry in Louisiana so you are too late. Get a smaller gun. I ccw a kahr cw9 in a theis holster and it's very very comfy and hidden. Spare mag in back pocket and go all day in a t shirt. Then carry a useful knife and you'll be much better off.

Its illegal in Louisiana!?!

Well, where is it legal?

You do know they make pistols smaller than a full size .45 right?

You can view knife laws by state here:

It's legal to carry a switchblade where I live and currently in my EDC rotation I carry a Microtech Troodon single edge, but it's not for protection...
