Correction- the knife referred to as "infidu" in the title and throughout this OP is infact an "infimandu". It is flat ground instead of saber ground which is the defining difference between an "infidu" and a "infimandu". 😁

Stripped my infidu and beat it up 😁

Damn this wood was a pain in the arse to beat it through! Infidu looked bent to me..

I need a mega mandu to beat up too! If you got one you don't need hit me up 🤑

That must have taken a while!
How was the edge? Any rolls?
Infidu is an awesome knife.
Not the fastest piece of wood to baton lol
I reprofiled the edge to pretty damn thin for cutting performance and to my surprise not a single roll or dent. Impressive!

I also did a little throwing and chopping. Everything is pretty well frozen too.

the last picture. The grain looks like oak. What was the wood?

InfiDu is a fantastic blade. I've carried one in my door pocket for what, 3 plus years? Need a Onion Worksharp to sharpen it but other than that it's an amazing piece of Infi and love the convex grind.

That looks like a full flat grind, (no saber).
So is it an InfiDu or InfiMandu?

It's totally normal for knives to bend like that when being pounded through a log. It would be weird if they didnt straighten out after the pounding was over.
I've seen pictures of one or two that had snapped, usually frozen wood or a knot caused it.

Its a fhfg infidu I believe. And yea I know it is normal for them to flex. They don't take a set unless it is bent signifigantly further. I bent an sob in 2015 😁

INFI will flex quite a way before any damage is taken. Here's a SHBM taking a beating. It's 5/16ths I believe...
