I currently own both an Infidu and FHFG Infi Ratmandu. The Infidu is convex versus a FHFG on the Infi Ratmandu. Which would be the better user / keeper? Pros and cons? Go!

Both. I have those two as well and they each have their strengths. The convex edge is awesome for hard use around a camp site as it stays sharp forever! The FHFG is a great slicer, especially if you thin it out behind the edge.

Edit: for grammar

I love the convex grind for fieldcraft tasks, but I can't say no full flat grind for essentially everything else. It's all about what I'm using the knife for.

Both is the only correct HOG answer- That convex holds an edge forever but you really need a Ken Onion Worksharp *or some kind of flexible belt* to sharpen it, at least that's the only way I've been able to do it. But I also love the FFG as it's a great slicer as I've found all FFG's to be and simple to sharpen.
Discarding all the bla bla bla the answer is both :D ... but if between a rock and a hard place, Dogboye is sound advice - keep the InfiDu ;)

Aw man the INFI FHFG is a sweet blade. I love FHFG, my main EDC is the FHFG, and I've grown to appreciate it for EDC utility!]

I've had two convexed infidu's from the first run and I love them both. I really didn't realize how much I'd love convex until I got them. However, even though they are both convex the one from the fist run has a little thinner profile and slices much better but still holds an edge. With those two along with an Sr101 model for good measure :) I didn't think I would need the FHFG version when they came out but some kind member on BF made me an offer I couldn't refuse and now I have an FHFG in the collection as well and she's not goin' anywhere. The moral of the story is... keep 'em both and maybe buy a few more ;). I don't think that helped one bit haha.

Here's my infi du collection as of yesterday:

I couldn't have said it better myself. If you sell one of those special blades, you will have regrets.

kniferman, I like those sheathes. My preference is for simple taco sheaths, either Kydex or leather. But the use of eyelets on leather is intriguing and different. And that metal clip seems really nice. Who made those?

Thanks, I made them. Yeah, I'm the same way... minimalist when it comes to sheaths. I've been thinking of upgrading my membership and selling them. I was trying to come up with a unique style so it's different from what everyone else is doing. These were prototypes and I'm also working on a minimalist survival kit system and fire starter to mount on it as options. PM me if you're interested. I'm going to upgrade my account.
