Hi, My name is Phil, and I am an Infiholic... I found these forums when I returned from my last 10 month deployment to the Middle East, and I check them numerous times daily. I don't know how long they have been here, or why I never knew about them in the past, but I am here now. I have wanted a Busse knife for years now, and somehow could never get one. Now since July, I have aquired six..
a 1/4" CG Satin Jack
a 6" PBF Desert Cord Wrap/Okuden Sheath
a CG Mr. Mojo
a Coated ZT SH
a Desert Skeleton Key
and a CG Battle Mistress E

I have had much pleasure and pain because of these knives. I have spent a fair amount of money for these Nuclear Knives....I have lost a bit of blood handling these outstanding knives....My wife has threatoned divorce because of my habit....I have traded and sold all I have of Value to get more....I vollunteered to deploy again for another six months just to get another Infi fix.... and now I am submitting papers to become an officer(they make more money, hence more Infi)....

Friends, do I need help? I look forward to checking the forums every second I can to see if there is something new out. I check the Busse website about 10 times a day. I check Bladeforums, Knifeforums, Usualsuspectforums, Badmojo, Swamprat....the list goes on, numerous times a day. My wife thinks I am having an Internet affair or something. I dream of Busse knives, varriants, Fusions, etc...

I will not have internet in Sandy Land. I will not be the first to see the treasure the Skunk has ammased. I will not be the first to buy a Busse folder or any of the Fusion line when they are introduced in TWO WEEKS! But I promise you this my brothers. I will be back! I am ready to be a part of this team, and all I ask is.........PLEASE save some INFI for me!!! Help a soldier and INFIHOLIC out!!!

See you in Six Months!!!!!

Phil
:barf:

Good luck Phil. Watch yourself and may your Busse blades serve you well. As for your habit, there is no hope for you. You have followed the same path I did when I first got started. All is lost, just enjoy the ride.

Phil, good luck in the box. Watch your 6 bro.

Yes, it is a ride, but you are in with the best damned companions anyone could ask for (well, except maybe Lemur....LOL). ;)

Are you able to take any of your toys with you??

We wish you well man, and thnak you for your service.

The nice thing is, you;ll be able to let someone else buy full price, then guilt them out of it at a lower price. Life is good...

Again, thank you,
Mike

You are not alone. As a matter of fact I will be eating mac and cheese till who knows when because I'm sending a large chunk of change to Mr. Progunner tomorrow.
I keep thinking it has to end but it doesn't ever seem to.:D
NO REGRETS!!!

Be safe in your journey and remember there will always be INFI waiting for you.
I also noticed by your post that you assume the site will be up before you get back. ;)
We'll see, we will see. :D

Thanks for the kind words Mike and John. John sold me #1 on my list. I thank you. My wife on the other hand would like to choke the $hit outaya! BUT....

NO REGRETS!!!!

I will be taking the 6" PBF Desert Wrap, Okuden Sheathand the Desert Skeleton Key, Buy Brown Sheath....Kinda kydex war if you will. I also have something from Leatherman, but the harsh enviroment, I think I am just going to leave my leather pants at home. Can't talk folders because I have yet to work on my folder, let's see, umm...

I don't know if the site will be up when I get back or not, but.....I know of a few places over there that have some nice candy and jewelry for the LADIES and I dunno.....these other shops have some nice big CUBANS for the boys(JERRY)hint, hint......

Hell no it aint no bribe, just a gift....

:D

Phil,

Tell your wife she will have to get in line behind my wife if there is to be any choking in my future. :D Glad I could help you down the road to ruin, you are in good company.

Mike (P) - That is indeed good news! I look forward to seeing mail from you. :D :p

When are you leaving?
Im sure all the stuff will just be rolling out by the time you get back. I'm sure you will be able to see the Folder come out since that is probably still a long ways away.

I am Flying out with my group in less than TWO WEEKS. I will be looking forward to a folder!!:D

Several Postal Worker Team mates of mine are leaving at about the same time also, how interesting. But they are only going to be delivering mail there for 2 months, unlike your 6 month stay.

On Friday, 9 Jan 04, For a fairwell present my command presented me with a Soldiers Medal signed by the U.S. President for saving a murder suicide victim in 2002. Her husband drove their car off a bridge right in front of me. She was four months pregnant and couldn't swim, and almost drowned us both. It was presented by my Garrison commander, and 2000 soldiers attended my presentation.Thought I would share that with my brothers in INFI. OK, I'm outta here. See you all in six months. Save me some infi and I'll save some of my bonus.:D

My name is Jerry. . . . and I am an INFI Pimp! ;)

Congrats on your recent acquisitions Phil. We'll look forward to hearing from you whenever possible. Let us know where you end up and we'll all drink a CBL for you!

Yep, we're all "givers" and we're all willing to treat ourselves to a nice cold one for you!!!! :D ;) . . . Hey, what are friends for?

Stay safe!

Jerry

HI Phil!

believe me I know your pain!!!!:D I fall in the INFI adiction the same way as you did... hehehehehehehe What about to tell your wife that you will need a knife you can rely on for the next turn in the sand box? So you can get some Desert Tan INFI! that's how I scored my Desert Steel heart!!!!
If you pass by Camp Eden in April ask for me! so we will discuss INFI!!!! :D

Ahhhhh....another addict in our midst. I started much the same way. Deployments are a good way to make more money for INFI. It starts small, a Busse here a Busse there, then it's well....maybe just one more, you know just for the deployment, soon you are hunting rare INFI. Next thing you know BAM you're a full fledged HOG . It's a difficult and tragic course youv'e chosen my friend. At least you have a support group here, this is a real group of givers :D .

Stay safe in the sandbox and let us know when you get back.

Regards,

Nick

Soldiers Medal might not sound like much to those not familiar with it, but I'd like to point out that it is in fact the very highest medal that can be awarded to a soldier who is not in combat. It is equivalent to the Distinguished Service Cross or Medal of Honor, and is appropriatly awarded to someone who risks their life to save another's, as Phil did. Congratulations, Phil. I'll be in your neighborhood in a few weeks, so if I can swing by with some brews or other coveted contraband just let me know! JB
