How much INFI is enough? I try to collect one of each different piece that was made, but I certainly prefer the straight handled INFI pieces and also the larger blades and have alot more than one of each of the BMs and SHs especially in straight handles.

I just did a quick review of what I got in the safe - got about 30 plus pieces of INFI - unless Skunk/Chuck you want to count the Busse Axe as two pieces??:p . (Sorry, had to rub that one in!)

Anyway, how do you guys collect them, large, small, straights, satin, coated or ???

Is any amount of INFI enough or are you out for INFInity?!

I like them all! I used to like only the older straight handled models, but have since come like the ergo's as well. However, I have small hands and the ergo's could be slightly smaller for indexing.

My favorite Busse of all time is the old straight handle Badger with tubular handle fasteners.

Unfortunately, I only have users now and no collectors. Even those however amount to about 11 blades located in various geographic locations (next to my truck seat, packs, tackle box, etc.)

Marc,
It started as one knife-

First I had to have a Steel Heart, then traded it for a NO. Great, now I have a Busse and I am happy. Then the ZT NO comes along....WOW got to get one of those. Then came the Asault Shaker ...Cool little knife, not too expensive, I'll buy it. Hey, theres some guy clearing out some Basic3's...I think I'll buy one. Busse Clause drops off a Euro4...Merry Christmas! Then it's ooooh BAIII..Kind of skinny EURO4 got to get one of those..Next comes an innocent phone call to Wauseon about resharpening and BB asks is there anything else I can do for you? Got any 1/4" Satin Jacks? Let me ask Jerry. Next thing I know I have ordered a Fat Satin Jack and a NO Variant. OK fine now I can wait till the Folder, the Coated ZT's, and the Skeleton Keys, no problem. Oh but wait Raden.. is selling a Fatty Mean Street...maybe one more little knife won't hurt. Now it's... you know a 5/16"Steel Heart would be a nice item to put with the rest. OK I can stop now...PHEWWWW.
But NOOOO!, Jerry had to start talking about New Standard Lines and Radical Departures. This of course leads to Variants, well I think we can all see where this is going. DAMN IT JERRY! will the madness never cease? :p :D

Now it's to INFInity and Beyond!!

I'm with Frank on this. I really fell in love with the old straight handle Badger, currently I only have one but it is one of my favorite designs.

Currently I'm trying to focus my collection on unique variants or old rarer models(mainly variants ;) ) I'm even thinking of trading or selling other Busses to be able to pick up more variants (someone please talk me out of this ;) ) :D:D

Oh yeah..who can afford a safe? I have INFI lying on the Coffee table, on the end table, beside the bed, under the bed, in the closet, and in my locker at work. Don't walk barefoot around my apartment:D
By the way anyone have any 5/16" Busses they are willing to part with? Love that HEAVY METAL:D .

Eric,
Seriously, drop me an email if you need to rid yourself of any excess HEAVY METAL .

Is it just me, or are we just passing the INFI around amongst ourselves :D :D .I would be interested to know how many of us forumites some of these knives have lived with:D

oh yeah, 5/16" Badger Attacks, one of my favorites - nearly as wide as they are long !!

Ever hear the story about a cop prying open a car trunk with one he attached a pole to (for leverage?).

Ask GPB about it - he knows the story!!

Yeah!Yeah! I need a 5/16" BA to go with the MS.:D

Just one more.

It's ALWAYS "just one more"!! ;) :D :D

i have a really nice minty, fresh, virgin, fat, solid screwed ba... and would trade for a minty hollow rivited one in virgin condition.
i love straight badgers!! definantly a busse classic!!

I only have 3 pieces of INFI and frankly, after receiving my AD, I'm (mostly*)content. The AD does everything I need and is legal for EDC. I highly recommend this knife. I have no place to use big choppers :(
*The only piece I feel I'm missing is the Groovemaster. Maybe I can trade my Basic 5 for a Groovey?

The sudden appearence of the folder would, of course, alter my contentedness.(sp?)
