Hey Guys...
I've got a 18' X 4' Intex inflatable pool..
Came with a cartridge type filter,, and a goofy as$ed vacume system,, that doesn't work too bad,, but doesn't get the fine particals...
I thought that some of you may have some experience with pools..
This is our first pool...
It's pretty decent considering it's an inflatable...
Ok,, so heres my problem....
I had a lot of little particlas floating around, that just weren't being picked up by the vacume..
In retrospect,, I should have bought a proper vacume system, instead of doing what I did....
Ok,, so someone says to get the fine particals out,, you add whats called FLOC basically a clarifier...
Ok,, so I did that,,and the next day it was sparkling clean,, everything was down on the bottom....
So now how do I get it off the bottom ??
Easy,, borrowed a friends vacume pole, and hose,, worked awesome....
Except!!!
The clarifier goes right through the cartridge filter, and after 10 mins the pool is cloudy again...,, let it settle,, Sparlking,,vacume,,cloudy,, on and on....
Then I read the instructions on the chemical bottle...in Big letters it says:
"Do not Use in Cartridge Filters"...
What's happening is the particals are blowing right through the filter,, and back into the pool....
So without going out and buying a $500.00 pump and sand filter,, how do I get this $hit out of the pool ???
Do I keep vacuming and vacuming,,hoping that the filter will eventually clog enough to capture these particals ??
Anyone know if there is a smaller micron filter cartridge I can use ???
I even thought about wrapping some smaller micro filter paper from my lab onto the cartridge and see if the helps....
Anyone got any ideas ??
Would be much appreciated....
Thanks
Eric....
