Info about Al Mar logo

Do you know if Al Mar modified its logo during the years? I saw an Al Mar SOF Attack IV and the logo on the blade is different from that of my new Al Mar Osprey (or others new knives).
 
It is a Japanese letter, or "chop", for his nickname. I forget what that nickname was and I forget now whether they changed the color of the "chop" after his death. I seem to remember that they did.
